"putting it into words"

Something I’ve seen,

Something I’ve done,

Something I’ve felt,

Something I’ve thought,

But how do I put it into words?

How I’ve witnessed your worst outrage and gloomiest of days,

You still tantalize me.

How we joke in satire but speak in wittiness,

You still amaze me.

How the corner of our eyes meet every now and then,

You still warm me.

How the scintillating thought of you wander across my void of a mind,

You still illuminate me.

And even then,

You make me speechless,

I find myself searching

to use new words,

Feel new feelings,

Think new thoughts.

So often I’m left wondering,

With me wanting to say something to you,

But how do I put it into words?
