Not Good Enough

There comes a point,

when you realize,

that everything has been dramatized.

They said coming in second,

Means that you only lost to one person,

But you’re just the first one to lose in comparison.

It’s just not good enough.

You’ll do better next time,

but what if that was your best,

In which you can never attest.

You should’ve worked harder,

But what if that was all you had,

No, it is still all that bad.

It’s just not good enough.

Maybe now comes a point,

When you realize,

That you don’t live to please and apologize.

Maybe now you see,

That the world isn’t all that easy,

And you’d stop killing yourself to live in hypocrisy.

Cause it’s just not good enough.
