5 bad tendencies made by people during ramadan

With the season of ramadan coming, people who are going to be fasting have a need to prepare themselves, and so this article will cover a few reminders on several bad tendencies you’ll tend to make during this season.

The first bad tendency is that you’ll bring water to drink wherever you go. Anyone who’s always in need of water will tend to bring a water bottle wherever they go. It’s a bad tendency to do in this month because sometimes if another person who’s fasting sees you with a bottle, they will misunderstand and think you’re not fasting. It always causes awkward situations when you’re approached about it too. So best to remember, before going out of your house during ramadan, assure yourself that you don’t bring your usual water bottle with you.

The second bad tendency is to dig your nose subconsciously. As we know in the knowledge of muslims, you’re not supposed to dig your nose during ramadan as it involves putting something into your body. Disgustingly enough, people tend to forget this during the month of ramadan and dig their nose anyways without knowing. So best to remember, do not dig your nose.

People tend to be very hungry during this season, and as such we make very odd choices as we order food. We tend to want to eat anything; and everything, so we end up ordering too much. Which bring up the next bad tendency, wasting food. According to a news report in 2015 made by The Star, every year during the month of ramadan, 270000 tonnes of food go to waste. So best to remember, never get food that you can’t eat, order only as much as you can eat.

The fourth bad tendency is to come home from either school or work and pulling your fridge door open. Sometimes people snap out of it and realize it’s ramadan season and immediately stop from going any further. Others on the other hand, tend to actually grab something and if you’re unlucky you’ll actually take a bite. So best to remember, remind yourself that you shouldn’t open the fridge door, or you might potentially eat something.

Don't take things from your fridge

The last bad tendency will be that you’ll go to your usual bazaar ramadan and end up tasting the food. When you’re looking for food to eat during iftar, a lot of people go to bazaar ramadans. However, sometimes holding food will tempt you to try it. A lot of people may accidentally break their fast by eating unintentionally. So best to remember, make sure you’re in control when you have food in your hands.
